GAINESVILLE, Florida –Het is weer een eer voor Gator-gymnastiekDrievuldigheid Thomas.
Thomas is de Roy F. Kramer Southeastern Conference Sportvrouw van het Jaar 2022-23. Thomas en de mannelijke winnaar, LSU-honkbal Dylan Crews, werden geselecteerd door een stemming van de atletiekdirecteuren van de competitie.
Een alligator heeft nu 15 keer de titel van SEC-atleet van het jaar gewonnen. Thomas is de zevende Gator-atleet die is uitgeroepen tot SEC Sportvrouw van het Jaar en de eerste sinds gymnastiekBridget Sloanen UF-softbalspelersLauren Hager(2015) enHannah Rogers(2014) won in opeenvolgende seizoenen.
Florida's laatste twee SEC Male Athlete of the Year kwamen in opeenvolgende jaren -Kaleb Dressel(2018) enGrant Holloway(2019). UF's zeven mannelijke onderscheidingen en acht voor vrouwelijke SEC-atleet van het jaar leiden de competitie.
Thomas' laatste jaar:
In 2023 leidde Thomas het land voor het derde achtereenvolgende seizoen voor perfecte 10.0s - 2021 (4), 2022 (12) en 2023 (8). Zij is de 10egymnast om de eer te verdienen in de 40 jaar dat een SEC Sportvrouw van het Jaar is toegekend.

- Honda Award-winnaar voor het tweede achtereenvolgende jaar als beste collegiale gymnast van het land
- Carrière NCAA 10.0 co-leider. Verdiende 28e perfecte score in NCAA Championships teamfinale sprongcompetitie om Florida naar een tweede plaats te helpen
- Een van de drie in het land met vijf 2023 Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) All-America reguliere seizoensonderscheidingen. Eerste team voor allround, ongelijke staven en vloeroefeningen; tweede team sprong en evenwichtsbalk
- All-America first-team honours voor sprong en ongelijke staven in NCAA Championships halve finale. Deelgenomen aan slechts twee evenementen vanwege een blessure opgelopen in de tweede ronde van de NCAA Regional.
- 2023 Southeastern Conference Turnster van het jaar. Sluit zich aan bij Andreé Pickens uit Alabama als enige drievoudige ontvangers in de geschiedenis van de prijs.

- Beam 10.0 was de eerste in het land voor 2023 - zesde opeenvolgende ontmoeting met een 10.0 (daterend uit 2022 NCAA Regionals).
